Five doors

The whole app is five doors. One sentence each, one screen each, about thirty seconds. Read it once and you will never hunt for anything again.

  1. Step 1 · Door one · Home

Step 1 of 5. Home is today

Home is the state of your water right now — your favorited gauges, the weather over them, and the score for the day.

NextEverything else is a way to add to what shows up here.

  2. Step 2 · Door two · Explore

Step 2 of 5. Explore is the map

Explore starts at the whole country and drills down: states, rivers, gauges, reservoirs, snowpack, and the coast.

NextAnything you find here can be saved as a Spot.

  3. Step 3 · Door three · The +

    Step 3 of 5. The + starts a trip

The button in the middle of the bar begins a session — fishing or hunting — and keeps time, location and catches while you are out.

This one is the phone’s job. Sessions are started on the mobile app or a paired Garmin watch, because they need GPS and a screen you can reach with wet hands; the web shows you everything afterwards.

NextWhen you stop, it becomes an entry in the Journal.
    Mobile

    Starts on the phone

Seven activity types, one button. The web app is where you read the record back; the + itself is on the phone and the watch.

  4. Step 4 · Door four · Journal

Step 4 of 5. The Journal is everything you did

The Journal holds every session you have logged, the map of where the fish actually were, and the Debriefs that closed each one out.

NextThis is the raw material every score is built from.

  5. Step 5 · Door five · Intel

Step 5 of 5. Intel is everything else

Codes, Spots, Alerts, Environments, Groups and settings all live behind Intel — the drawer for everything that is not today, the map, a trip, or your history.

NextThat is the whole app. Five doors.
